- Marsha is looking into getting our Oklahoma Button project bulletin certified by the Oklahoma Centennial Committee and she will let us know what she learns about the process at the December meeting.
- In the Oklahoma Button project bulletin, the descriptions for the loon and the mallard on the Birds of Oklahoma buttons are transposed.
- Marsha is working with several artists to commission buttons for the Oklahoma Centennial depicting the Kiowa County courthouse that she hopes can be used by various community agencies as fundraising opportunities. At the September meeting, she showed us several of the prototypes, including screen printed and metal buttons. They are all lovely and we applaud Marsha’s button enthusiasm and state pride!
- At the September meeting, we decided it might be fun to start including member introductions in our bulletins as a way to get to know each other better. Ideas for what to include in your introduction include; occupation, number of kids or pets, hobbies besides button collecting, and an explanation of how you became interested in buttons. If you would like to participate, you may either mail your introduction to Marsha, or email it HERE.
